Autumn Welcome!

I love this time of the year. The weather is cooler and it's a different season. I love summer but I am always ready for the season to move on. Autumn is the beginning of football season and that means on Friday nights I can put on my pj's at 5:00 p.m. if I want to, surf the net, update photo albums, read, and just watch tv. Gary is usually gone to the high school game or hunting. I feel like I am on vacation for one night of cooking, cleaning, and sharing the television. So, this afternoon I bought a new wreath for the front door. The mum isn't quite big enough. I may have to replace it. Do you see the mud at the bottom of the door? The other morning, very very early, we heard a thump at the door. Whatever it was left a big muddy glob on the door. If you click once on top of the picture you can get a good view of the mud on the door. I don't know why I haven't cleaned it.
My sister, Sancy, bought me the flag with the monogrammed "O". Today I bought some mums for the flower bed. They will look a lot better in a couple of weeks. Now I need to move to the backyard to do some decorating. It's hard to get in the mood to work in the backyard now. We will close the pool in October and after that we just don't go to the backyard very much.

Hi Betsy,
I love the late nights and early mornings of fall - when the breeze that lifts the curtains smells crisp.
Wonderful post - beautiful door...even with the mud spots. :)
Blessings my friend and many hugs.
