It Got Better!

It was soooo much better this time. I took the advice of Karen, my military mom friend, and we kept adding water until it started spewing out! We had plenty of water all weekend, even hot water! We had so much water we had to empty water when we left to go home!

Jessica and the grandkids were visiting her parents this weekend. They all came out to eat hamburgers with us Friday night. We had a blast. We were at Roaring River, Missouri on the river. Anna Claire kept calling it the "sea." Gary went trout fishing and I spied on the neighbors! I read "Good to Great" for the second time and thoroughly took in the sounds of nature. It was so peaceful.

Saturday night I watched the RV movie by Robin Williams. It was so much funnier this time.

I think Gary and I will buy each other mountain bikes for Christmas. It seems that every time we go out (this was our second outing!) everyone has mountain bikes and hiking gear. Hiking is out for us but we can do mountain bike riding. In fact, I think we'll enjoy it. I wanted just a regular bike, though. If you buy a mountain bike, doesn't that mean you are going to pedal UP a mountain? I don't really want to do that. I just want to ride around the camp ground around and around.

I'm still trying to fix it up. I have only done two beds and I have three more to go.

Anna Claire wanted an orange bed. So....I did my best. At the foot of the bed (you can't see) is an orange and pink quilt and two orange throw pillows. I added a white down comforter for the chilly nights. She called her bedroom the "cage." She would come in the living area and after a minute or two she would say "Ma...I need to go to my cage now."

Coffee or wine? That's your choices! I was sitting on the couch trying to figure out how to decorate the kitchen area a little and I noticed that all I had was coffee and wine.

Trying to decorate this place has been a challenge. I added dark brown throw pillows on the couch and then a candle on the table. I would really like to have bamboo place mats and chargers but we use the table for so much more than just eating. Even the candle is in the way most of the time. It's very hard to add personal touches. Maybe there is an Internet site for RV decorating! ha!
