Then, we went to the local high school basketball game Saturday night. Bennett loved the basketball game and band! He watched the game solid for two hours except when the band played. Then, without changing the expression on his face, his head turned to the band and his shoulders were swaying to the music. Anna Claire watched the game for a little while and then she danced most of the night. On the way home she said "Ma, I had fun doing ballet tonight." She also informed me on the way home that she could only eat healthy food. I had told her I wanted to stop for a diet coke and she told me diet coke was yucky and it was not healthy. I asked her what healthy food she wanted to eat and she said "Ice cream....ice cream and apple juice. That sounds good, doesn't it Ma?" Later she told me it was "alright if I have ice cream for lunch tomorrow too." We didn't.
Then, today (Sunday) was Bob the Builder. Oh my. The Arts Center was full of two year olds. Let me rephrase that...screaming two year olds. The Arts Center staff would not allow anyone to take pictures so I took pictures before the show started. This is just a picture of Anna Claire looking at the stage with no one on the stage...it's just the stage props.
The show lasted two hours. Once when Bob and Wendy asked the audience "Can we fix it?" she yelled back "Yes we can!" Also, Bob and Wendy had everyone to blow toward the wind turbine to make it turn and she did that. When it started turning she grinned ear to ear and said "Did you see that?" The wind turbine was turning. She was amazed by that.
As soon as we got home I changed into pajamas. It was not quite 8:00 p.m. I told Anna Claire I needed to put her pajamas on her. She said "Ma...in five minutes. Can I watch just a little of Elmo on your bed?" I told her just for a few minutes she could but she would have to watch it on the laptop. I wanted to watch something else on the tv. I'm not kidding...this is her as soon as the Elmo cartoon started. I called Gary in to the bedroom and we just stood at the foot of the bed laughing. She still had on her clothes from the "Bob the Builder" show.
Thank you Brent and Jessica for being so generous with your kids! Gary and I are having the time of our lives with them.

Sounds like you guys had a great weekend with the little ones. And from the look of it, Anna Claire must have had a very good time as well.
How lucky Anna Claire and Bennett are to have you and Gary as grandparents to spend so much time with.
