Back Home

We are back home for five days and then we leave again for 10 days. It was kinda sad leaving this morning but there are things to do at home.

This is the longest we have been gone. Gary found out a few things about me and I believe he is a little disappointed. I do not use the restrooms at state parks. He wanted me to take my showers there and do a few other things. I wouldn't. So, he said "Okay, you will empty the black water tank (use your imagination) when we leave." Why were restrooms built in travel trailers if they weren't to be used?

We left this morning and the last thing you must do is go to the "dumping" (enough said) station and empty the black water tank. I pretended I was very, very busy doing some other things so Gary had to do all the work. There isn't anything to see, it's just the thought of it all.

We got home and the pool water doesn't look right. So, I've got to make a trip to the pool company to have our water tested and buy chemicals. We haven't even used the pool but we have had a lot of rain.

I don't have pictures because the scenery was the same every day and I have already posted pictures from the first day. Yesterday morning was nice. There was a sailboat race right outside our trailer. Probably 10 sailboats. Every morning I woke up to fishing boats heading out.

One thing Gary and I learned was this: Skiing is out and surf boarding is in. There were families galore here with ski boats that probably cost more than my first house. Yesterday we could not figure out what this little girl was doing. We thought she was trying to knee board but she kept trying to stand up. Finally, her sister was on a scooter and was at our trailer. She said that her sister was trying to surfboard. This was new to me. It is a surfboard and you hold on to a ski rope and try to stand up. That's the "in" thing now. I told Gary that I guess skiing was out.

I have a busy week ahead of me. Grandkids coming.
