By the way, no pictures of Bennett. He's sleeping.
Anna Claire and I decided to make chocolate chip cookies instead of napping. She told me "You know Ma, you don't have a lot of healthy foods, like green beans. Green beans are healthy. Maybe it's okay to have one chocolate chip cookie every once in a while. [pause] Ma, maybe I can have three. Will that be good?"

Stirring the batter.

Scooping batter onto the pan.

Spelling while cookies are baking. I put a "B" on the refrigerator and said "Betsy." Anna Claire looked at me and laughed and said "You're silly Ma. That says Ma."

Right out of the oven.

Anna Claire said "Remember Ma, I can have three. I hope I don't have a tummy ache."

Yummy

Oooh, my tummy.

Bennett missed out on all the fun. I really hate that because he LOVES to bake.
Now, just some things I enjoy...probably just me.
This morning Anna Claire was sitting on the couch eating breakfast (i.e. toast). Bennett saw food and immediately climbed on the couch. Anna Claire said "Ma, Bennett will try to get my food. Will you please not let him when he reaches for it?" Poor Anna Claire, this sounds like a way of life with her. Bennett had just had two pieces of toast and a bowl of strawberries for breakfast.
Bennett is soooo into Spiderman. He flings his hands out and says "swish." I guess you know that sound, don't you? It is Spiderman doing his spider web thing. Gary said he did it at him several times last night. Gary couldn't figure out what he was doing. He did it all day today. I would scream with fear and he would laugh and just keep doing it.
This morning before Anna Claire woke up Bennett and I looked through the Cabela book. He loved it. Much better than nursery rhyme books! He picked out a hunting jacket and pants that he wanted. He found some boots and he would say "Boot...boot...stomp...stomp." There were not any boots in his size. I told Gary I found some hunting clothes for Bennett and he was very pleased. We can't have Bennett at the cabin in regular clothes. Heavens, no!
Oh, and then there's this. I asked Anna Claire and Bennett this afternoon if they wanted some ice cream. Anna Claire said "Ma, I do but I need to show my positive manners first. My mommy told me I always have to show positive manners." And, then she asked "Ma, may I please have some ice cream?"
