Weekend at the Cabin to Begin Celebrating Anna Claire's Birthday Week

This past weekend began the week-long celebration of Anna Claire turning four! I am not ready for her to turn four. When she turned two and three..well, that was okay. I do not want her turning four! Then, there's five, six, seven, etc.

Here's a picture of our trailer. Gary and I will be moving it the week after we visit Shane and Jess in May. We have had the trailer parked next to the cabin all winter. Anna Claire and Bennett love playing in the trailer, especially climbing from one bunk bed to the other.

There's just one little problem with the trailer. The back bedroom is decorated in pink and orange. When we bought it Anna Claire told me she wanted her bedroom in all orange with some pink. Well, now that Bennett loves it just as much....orange and pink will not work. On the way home last night Gary told me to buy new sheets for Bennett's bed. In fact, he even told me what kind. Camouflage. I suggested Spiderman sheets but Gary said no...camouflage. Also, Anna Claire no longer likes orange so I have to buy new sheets for her bed also. That also means new quilt, pillow shams, and accessories! Boy, it can get expensive redecorating a travel trailer bedroom when you have to change everything every year!

We had a lot of yard work to do. Bennett tried to pick up the leaf blower but it was too heavy. In this picture he is telling me something about his muscles.

Gary and Brent went fishing Sunday morning. This was the ONLY fish they (Gary) caught. Bennett would have Gary tell him how he caught the fish and then Bennett would tell me how Granddad caught the fish. Bennett touched the fish but Anna Claire would not.

Bennett throwing sticks in the pond.

Anna Claire picking pretty "purple" flowers. Bennett had a net to put flowers in but he didn't want to pick flowers. Instead, he found one tennis ball and two golf balls. He put those in his net.

Bennett driving the lawn mower. He called it the "tractor."

Bennett driving Granddad's "big truck."

Anna Claire trying to keep Bennett's hands out of the icing.

Anna Claire opening presents from Ma and Granddad. She got a huge box of arts and crafts supplies, "real" ballerina outfits, "real" ballet shoes, Barbie ballerina doll, paint, and a case to put her ballerina clothes and shoes in. Oh, and lots and lots of shining, sparkly rings!

Anna Claire and Jessica resting in the hammock. Jessica had every reason to be tired. She completed a 12 mile run Saturday morning!
