July 4th Weekend - Relaxing

Relaxing describes the weekend perfectly. Perfectly relaxing! Now, we are back at home and reality is setting in. We both have to work tomorrow. Need to mow today. Must go to the store! Those are sure signs that vacation is over!

We spent the Fourth of July for the second year in a row at Lost Bridge South Park. We even camped next to the same people that we did last year. Lost Bridge had their fireworks show on the 3rd, which we didn't know until the afternoon of the third. Tim came out and spent the night with us. He went out to eat at "Across the Creek" with us for Gary's birthday. Tim and Gary went trout fishing the morning of the 3rd at the dam.

Yesterday (the 4th) the weather was perfect. It was never hot this week. We just relaxed and watched the jet skis, sailboats, fishing boats, and ski boats pass by. It's been a long time since we have taken our boat on the lake on the 4th. It's just too many people and the water is rough. The neighbors brought us some homemake chocolate ice cream and bratwurst. I can say one thing, we had plenty of food the entire time we were there.

I think the craziest thing I saw at the lake was this boat flying the skull flag and the driver of the boat was wearing a pirate's skull hat. Then, this morning a couple jogged past us to the water's edge, took off their shoes, and then started swimming across the lake.

We got home today and spent the afternoon at the pool.
