Can't Get Enough of My Family!

Another great family weekend. I did miss my Jessica though. She was out of town on a girl's retreat so Brent and the grandkids went camping with Gary and me. Gary and I really are so blessed. The only way it could have been more perfect was if Jess and Jessica, and of course, Shane, were here.

We camped at Lost Bridge South Park for the weekend. Gary and I are still there.

Anna Claire had her doll house and Bennett had his barn.

Anna Claire has named this doll "Ma" and here is "Ma" working in her office on the computer!

Gary, Bennett, Brent and Anna Claire swimming in Beaver Lake. I got in but only because Bennett climbed up in the boat and pushed me out!

The travel trailer has a bunk room. I have a guard rail for Bennett's bed; however, Anna Claire was the only one who fell out of the bed. I will need to get her one. We had a hard time at first getting Bennett to take a nap.

Bennett supposed to be napping.

Still Bennett supposed to be napping.

And here he is getting ready to squiggle out of the bed. Very early one morning we heard something in the den. Gary got up to check it out. Bennett had escaped his bed while Brent and Anna Claire were still asleep. He was just looking around. Gary brought him to our bedroom and we had a great time playing on the bed.

I am still sore from tubing. Anna Claire and I laughed the entire time. A couple of times I just had to hold on to her!!! What was I thinking?

Both kids had their bikes. I don't have many pictures because it's hard to bike ride and take pictures. Anna Claire did great. As for as Bennett...well, we should have brought his tricycle instead. Gary and I both did a lot of walking helping him ride his bike.

The second night we all had smores.

Anna Claire showed me how she could put her head under water.

And how she can blow bubbles in the water.

A few stories that I don't have pictures of:

Gary went tubing and Brent drove the boat very fast trying to make him fall off. Once he went flying in the air and Gary said he was through. He was worn out. Anna Claire yelled "No, I want Granddad to keep going." Brent asked her why and she said "Because he's funny!" I thought he was going to have a heart attack but he kept going because Anna Claire wanted him to.

Then, Anna Claire went tubing all by herself. This was a first for her. She went for a long time and then asked if anyone wanted to go with her. Brent did.

Now, I still can't believe this happened. While we were boat riding Anna Claire fell asleep. It was time to go in so Brent and Gary took Bennett back to the trailer to take a nap. Since we were going to go boat riding again Brent anchored the boat way out deep and left Anna Claire and me in the boat so that Anna Claire could finish her nap. She finished her nap and was ready to go in. Okay, just how were we supposed to do that. No one came back to get us. Anna Claire said "Ma, let's just put our thinking hats on." We ended up putting on our life jackets and the two of us swam to shore. We laughed the entire way. We couldn't believe we were just left out in the boat. As we were swimming to shore Gary started coming our way to check on us.

Bennett and I went hiking. We were just barely in the woods and he said "I scare Ma...there's crocodiles in the forest." I told him there were no crocodiles so he said "There's baby tigers and baby lions in the forest, Ma...they'll bite us." Then he told me there were giraffes in the forest but they don't bite. We turned around and went back to the main rode.

As we were walking back to the trailer Bennett told me he didn't like campers. He said he wanted a tent instead.

Once I heard Brent tell Bennett something and Bennett replied back "Whatever!"

Everyone was walking their dog so Anna Claire got her "little puppy" and she and I went walking. I could hear people seeing us and making comments like "Oh, look at that little girl." Her dog is one of those plastic dogs on a string.

Anna Claire told me she didn't like the Crocs I bought her. I asked her if they hurt her feet. She said "No, they are so comfortable but they have a picture of a crocodile on them." They do. That's the only reason she hates those shoes.

She started Dance this week and will start soccer next week!
