We decided to go to the Farmer's Market Saturday morning. There were the most beautiful horses everywhere.

Jess has her eyes closed but this is the only picture of just the two of us.

A hit for all of us except Gary was the wine tasting at the Farmer's Market. All before 10:00 a.m.! Lover's Leap wine was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. You could pay $1 and taste all of the wine you want to. We did.
We are through wine tasting. Now where do we go? I think we were looking for another wine tasting booth. We didn't find any but we did buy cheese, corn, tomatoes, etc.

Jess, Shane and Betsy in front of the court house where Shane worked this summer.
Saturday night Shane and Jess cooked a feast. Shane grilled out and Jess's sister Kate and her family came over to eat. We had a wonderful time and it was perfect to have family over. I didn't get pictures of Kate, George and George's mom. Only the kids. I've got to get better in taking pictures.
MacKenzie on the patio.
Jess and Ella.
Ella. This was right after she put a big hunk of bread in her mouth.
Shane and MacKenzie bonded early on after they met. Shane receives most of her attention and he spends a lot of one on one time with MacKenzie. Here he is reading her a book before they left. She doesn't realize how long it will be before she sees him again. It was very cute when MacKenzie picked up a book, crawled on the couch with Shane, and then she snuggled right under his arm. Just as though she has done that many times before.

Shane just relaxing.
Gary and Shane
Betsy and Shane. I was able to have Shane sit down and give me a list of things to put in care packages. I plan on visiting Jess a lot and we can put together packages also.
Well, here we are at the airport on Sunday afternoon to see Shane off. The ride back to the townhouse was tough but we made it. Jess is one special daughter in law, wife, friend...

Jess and I went to Barnes and Noble and spent the afternoon there. I am so glad we decided to stay until Monday. We all just needed to be together. We've been through this before and we can do it again. I know this is all in God's plan and only he knows what that is.
Oh well. We'll pray and pray some more. Nana will bake bread, I'll put together care packages of stuff he probably doesn't need, Gary will research and research and research the location on the Internet, and Jess will be his rock to get him home safe and sound. We are family and that's everything.

Beautiful. Thank you!
I'm so glad you had a great time with Shane before he left. Know my prayers are with him and with you all.
