Finally, it was my turn to babysit Presley! Anna Claire helped me; however, it was Jessica that was the preferred babysitter by Presley. Presley kept an eye on Jessica the entire weekend. She followed her wherever she went.
Chris and Mandy went to the Razorback game in Fayetteville. Brent went to India. And Jessica, Anna Claire, Bennett and Presley were at Ma and Granddad's!
Bennett and Granddad went to the Razorback game. They were back home by third quarter.
I was very nervous at first because I wanted Presley to be so happy. She didn't know us and I was anxious about her being comfortable with us. It was going to break my heart if she was sad while I had her. I should not have worried one bit. She couldn't have been any happier.
I think Anna Claire pretty much said it all when we were leaving Build A Bear and she said to her mommy "Mommy, can we name our new baby Presley?" Yep, Anna Claire was so attached to Presley. Poor Presley, she couldn't take a step without Anna Claire being right there at her side. In fact, once Anna Claire wanted to play Bingo with me and I told her that we probably shouldn't because Presley would want to mess it all up. Anna Claire said "That's okay Ma. It's no big deal." "She can mess it up." Huh?
Now, Bennett, well, he didn't know what to think when Presley picked up some of his little football players. He stood up, crossed his arms across his chest, stomped a foot and said in a growling voice "Ma, she got my FOOTBALL PLAYERS (emphasis on football players.)" It was funny because the day before Presley arrived Bennett told me that he was going to let Presley hold his football players. He changed his mind once she arrived.
Presley's favorite toys: green caterpillar that has a string and she pulled it while she went walking, My Little Ponies
Presley's favorite riding toy: this car that has the sounds of a car, boat, and animals
Presley's favorite food: strawberries
Presley and Anna Claire's favorite fun time: Build a Bear, riding on rides at Chuckee Cheese, going from toy to toy at Ma and Granddad's
Presley and Bennett's favorite fun time: Walking in yard (I had to think hard on that one!) Bennett is so cute when he says "Press uh lee."
Presley's favorite person: hands down, it was Jessica!
I can't believe how much milk you go through when you have three kids! I was out of milk last night so I decided I better go to the grocery store. Anna Claire and Bennett were in their pj's. Anna Claire wanted to go and then Bennett decided he wanted to go. I didn't want to take either one because it was late and raining. Anna Claire told Bennett that it was "girl's night out" so he couldn't go. Really? To the Pea Ridge country store? Bennett replied "No, Sissy...boy's night out!" Well, they both went. I took the umbrella and told them to both stay under it with me. It was one of those big ones so I knew we could all stay dry. Bennett...well, he kept his chest, arms and legs dry but made sure he stuck his head out enough to get his face wet! He loved it and was laughing all the way to the front door of the store. I should have expected that. He's too much like his Daddy was at that age. Anna Claire was so careful to stay dry. Bennett lives on the edge. No way was he planning on staying dry!
