Ma and Bennett. The weather was very nice for most of the day. A little chilly for me but everyone else was comfortable.

Anna Claire outside playing at the cabin in Eufala, Oklahoma.
Bennett was hyper most of the time. He was so funny. He changed his name to "Buddy." He would not allow me to say "Bennett." Everyone had to call him "Buddy."
Bennett was very disappointed that he could not go duck hunting. I told him he wasn't old enough. He replied "But Granddad can take me turtle hunting." On the way home yesterday Gary and I agreed that next time he will take Bennett (Buddy) duck hunting. Or at least let Bennett think he is going duck hunting.
Bennett slept in the same bed with Granddad while Anna Claire slept with Ma. One night I heard Bennett say "Granddad, I love you."
I asked Bennett one morning when he was going to start using the potty. He said "When I grow up."
Anna Claire and Bennett eating smores. Yummy. Bennett definitely had too much chocolate.
Anna Claire and I played house. Her name was "Presley." Bennett said his name was "Buddy" but then he changed it to "Bat" (for bats in a cave). Anna Claire and I also performed a dance recital for Daddy (Brent) and Granddad. Anna Claire asked me how she would get her favorite toy to heaven if she forgot it. She then said "Oh, I bet God will just blow it up to me."
Anna Claire roasting her marshmallow.
Bennett and Ma roasting marshmallows.
Bennett throwing rocks in the pond. He was also looking for turtles.

Bennett wearing his almost too-small Spiderman rain boots.
Cute Stories:
The morning we were going to leave to go home Anna Claire was helping me clean. She was cleaning the windows. I heard her say "Bennett, DO NOT touch that window. I have cleaned it and you will give it finger prints!" Bennett said "I clean too." Then, it got very, very quite. Bennett had gone to the bathroom, unrolled all of the toilet paper and was using it to clean the bathroom floor. Oh well.
The first morning at the cabin I made Bennett his usual chocolate milk. Before he took the sippy cup he said "Ma, you are suppposed to say Bennett, take that paci out of your mouth." So I did. He then said "No Ma, say it like this....TAKE THAT PACI out of your mouth."
Saturday morning while Anna Claire was sleeping and Brent and Gary were hunting Bennett and I watched "Animal Planet." Bennett loves that channel. Once when a commercial came on Bennett said "I want to watch the snake cartoon again." We were watching "Animal Planet" and it was about snakes. He called it the "snake cartoon."
Bennett also asked me why I didn't have a baby in my tummy. I told him I had already had my babies. He asked me where they were. I told him they were his Daddy and Shane. I quickly distracted him because that conversation was going places I didn't want to go.
The first night Anna Claire told me she wanted to pick out what I would sleep in. She picked out my pajamas and told me they were the most beautiful pajamas in the world. She asked if she could have them when she got big.
Anna Claire and I played house. Her name was Presley. She kept asking me what was the name of the holiday when she was see Presley. She also said that she was going to bring some toys for Presley. She also asked "Ma, wouldn't it be nice if Presley could live with me?" I told her that Presley's mommy and daddy would miss her very, very much. She replied, "But, Ma, they can come visit as much as they want to."
The kids were fascinated with my contacts. At night they would gather around me while I took my contacts out. Then, the next morning Bennett would say "Ma, I want to watch you put on your contacts." I would have to wait until Anna Claire woke up because she wanted to watch me put my contacts in also.
What we ate: Friday night - spaghetti; Saturday morning - chocolate chip pancakes, yogurt; Saturday lunch - soup; Saturday night dinner - hamburgers, Anna Claire had pizza instead; Sunday morning - chocolate chip pancakes, muffins; Sunday lunch - spaghetti, macaroni and cheese. Snack food was bananas, soup crackers, cheese its, yogurt, muffins.

Betsy,
It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend - and the kids must have enjoyed all the attention too. LOL about Bennett...ummm I mean Buddy, and the baby issue - good job with changing the subject too!
I don't know how you manage to make everyone feel so special, but you are one awesome lady.
Your family and all who know you are blessed.
