The first day some of Brent and Jessica's friends came over and spent the night. Micah and Sarah have three girls, Jolie, Summer, and Kyah. Their ages are somewhere around 7, 5 and 15 months. We played school, fashion show, just to name a few. When we played school I, of course, was the teacher. For "show and tell" Anna Claire showed us her purple unicorn pillow pet and Bennett showed us his trucks. Micah and Sarah's girls called me "Ma" which I really enjoyed hearing. Then, we had "pretend" nap time at school but Bennett thought I was not pretending and he kept saying "Ma, I not tired." Then, you can't have school without music class so we got all the musical instruments out and marched around the house. Bennett's musical instrument was drums, naturally. Then, art time. Aunt Sancy had given the kids this huge coloring Snowman book and we were going to paint pictures and then post them around the house. Bennett wasn't interested.
Bennett got the sticks out of a basket and started trying to stab people with them. He said they were swords. He was about to get in serious trouble so I diverted his attention. I tied string onto the sticks and attached little beads at the end and told him it was a fishing pole. He loved the fishing pole. I had to make another one because the girls wanted to go fishing also.
The big hit with all the kids was Anna Claire and Bennett's bedroom in the camper. That is where the kids played a lot of the time. I have dress up clothes in the travel trailer so the girls had a "fashion show."
The next day Micah and his family left to go home. Bennett and I played in the leaves because it was "raining leaves." We would throw leaves on each other and then Bennett would yell "It's raining leaves."
Anna Claire had made a cabin Christmas tree. Beautiful!
Anna Claire, Jolie, Summer and Bennett made a Gingerbread house. Bennett spent most of his time trying to eat the parts of the house.
I had to come home early to wait for the Sear's man! Anna Claire and Bennett came back with me. We had to stop at Walmart and Bennett wanted this IronMan mask. The strap needed adjusting and he couldn't see out of it but he insisted on wearing it. I had to hold his hand walking through Walmart because he was just walking into things and people if I didn't. Anna Claire whispered to me "Ma, are we in Norman?" She thought that maybe we were because this Walmart was just like the one in Norman.
Anna Claire and Bennett put some money in the Salvation Army kettle as we were leaving Walmart. The kettle ringer asked both of them if they would like to ring the bell. Bennett didn't want to but I thought I was going to have to pry Anna Claire's fingers off the bell so we could leave. She stood there ringing the bell while about six people stopped by to add money to the kettle. Anna Claire is usually so shy so this really surprised me.
