I was one nervous Ma today. Anna Claire started kindergarten today. Normally, Anna Claire does not like things that she is not familar with. Especially new events. So...I didn't call her beforehand for fear it would make her too nervous just thinking about school.
I watched the clock until 2:00 pm today. I called Jessica at 2:15 pm. "Well, how was it?" She doesn't get out until 3:15 pm. So, I waited...waited...and waited. Called again at 4:30 pm and got to talk to the little school girl.
I asked her what her favorite thing was and she said math. Music was the next favorite. She really likes her teacher and loves the school "a ton." Whoo! What a relief!
She goes to a private school in Oklahoma City, OK. I don't know how Jessica does it but she does. Brent usually has early morning meetings so she has to get a newborn, a 3 year old, and a 5 year in the car. I guess Anna Claire is the only one who has to be fully dressed. Then, the drive on the interstate at rush morning hour going toward Oklahoma City. I wouldn't want that drive in the mornings. She only goes two days a week so that is very manageable.
Shane started classes at law school at the University of Kentucky today also. I probably won't write anything about his day. You know Shane! I got more information from Anna Claire about her day than I did Shane. Does that surprise you?

What fun--first day of kindergarten !! Brings back many meories of Rob starting school. Shannon turns 5 on Sept 8th but in Mass. you have to be 5 by the 1st so she has to wait another whole year and she's more than ready--can do simple math, reads, writes...told them she should be here, would start this year as our kids have to turn 5 by Dec 1st instead.
Boys, they don't change as they get older do they--never got much information out of Rob either when it came to school, or come to think of it, anything else either...LOL
Hugs,
Karen
