India Update 2

Wow! I just had the best Skype call ever. It is 9:20 p.m. there and it is 9:30 a.m. here. I may not be exactly right on the time there but it was 9:00 something. The kids were in their pajama's. They were able to show me the apartment. It's a little different than apartments here but still similar. The shower is in one bathroom and the tub is in another. The kids sleep on the floor in the same room. Sutton has his pack and play and I think he has his own room; however, I didn't see it. While we were on Skype Jessica and Sutton were sleeping on a chair.

Bennett told me he didn't like the food. It was too spicy. Anna Claire said the "cleaner" was coming tomorrow. They actually had been to McDonalds that day. Bennett showed me some of his toys. He showed me his football men and a Safari Animal book. Anna Claire showed me some stuffed animals. They all looked so good and happy.

I sure wish we could be there for both of their birthdays but financially I don't know if we can. It will be hard. We may just have to leave a little later than planned and stay a day or two later than planned.

Anna Claire and Bennett have been playing with Laney. They are friends with her family. Anna Claire said that she met Laney's friend, an India girl around 7 or 10 (that's what AC said). I didn't hear if the friend spoke any English.

They rode two rickshaws today (yesterday to us). Bennett said it was 4 and Brent and Anna Claire said it was 2. Bennett kept telling me I was a tooty. He loves to do that. Anna Claire said they had just gotten their couch today (yesterday to us).

Obviously they have Internet since we were able to Skype.

Bennett told me "Guess what, Ma? Indian kids get to stay up later than us." He was rubbing his eyes so I know he was sleepy. It was kinda funny. They were ready for bed and I had just gotten up. I kinda hinted that it would be nice if we did this every morning but I don't know if they will let them stay up that late or not. I could always Skype earlier because I get up early anyway. I'll suggest that to Brent.

Let's see, I'm trying to remember everything because Jessica wants to start a blog and this might help her remember what they have done.

They gave me a tour of the apartment and it's larger than I expected. Since this was my first time to "see" them all I really wanted to do was just look at them.
