Nana, Papa Jack and Patrick Visiting in Rogers

I'm working hard to get the blog current. I will be gone three days beginning Sunday for U of A Teaching Camp and then a one day workshop, trip to Kentucky and then it's back to work.

Nana, Papa Jack and Patrick were here for a couple of days. It was too hot to do much of anything. Too hot to set out by the pool, go kayaking, or anything.

Patrick is the Scrabble king. Winner of every game we played. This picture was taken probably around 10:30 p.m. one night. We were determined the finish the game. I'm not sure what time we really did. Patrick is king of qi, xi, jo.....
One day we met my nephew, Chris Courson, at Grub's in Fayetteville for lunch.
Nana and Chris outside Grub's.
One afternoon we drove to the Martin Greer's Candy Factory. Gary and Papa Jack making decisions!
Nana and Patrick. Patrick sampled quite a few chocolate pieces!
Nana (my mother) and me in my back yard.
We had a great time. Gary and Patrick were out of the house every morning by 6:00 a.m. to go fishing. They came back with fishing stories but no fish. Hum... Patrick and I went to the movie theatre to see "Madeas Witness Protection." That was the funniest movie ever! We both loved it.

I probably played Scrabble more times than I ever have in my life. I know what I'm getting Patrick for Christmas!

Hi Betsy,

Sounds like you always have a wonderful time - maybe it was the chocolate that helped Patrick with the Scrabble Game? How nice that you enjoyed such a good visit....loved the pictures, as always!
Blessings to you and to your family.
Sue
