The beach was beautiful but I was disappointed that I didn't see lush, white sand. We did hear that if we went to South Kuta we could see that. I did some research on why the sand was too hot to walk on. It's called "black sand beaches" and it's made from small volcanic rocks. Well, no wonder!
These pictures were taken right behind our hotel.
The beach is colorfully decorated with the traditional ourtiggers called perahu. You see these dotted along the shore line.
