We had a wonderful Easter. Brent and the kids were here. They came yesterday and left to go back home at noon. Jessica wasn't able to come. She had some things going on Saturday. Brent wanted to see Papaw (Gary's dad) so it was a very quick trip.
The first thing Sutton does is position right in front of the refrigerator. He LOVES to look at all the pictures that are on the refrigerator toward the bottom. I rotate the pictures for him and try to put pictures that I know he will enjoy looking.
Easter morning we had a very unusual breakfast and routine. Gary and Brent chose a breakfast casserole. Sutton had breakfast casserole and TWO Krispy Creme donuts. Bennett had Special K Strawberry cereal and one Krispy Creme donut. Now...read this....I had one grandchild that requested DEVILED EGGS for breakfast! Anna Claire had TWO deviled eggs for breakfast. The, for a special treat they watched 101 Dalmatians in the office. I projected the movie to the wall and we pretended we were at the movies, except Sutton kept watching it on the laptop instead of projected on the wall.
Then, a special trip to the nursing home to see Papaw and Memaw (Gary's parents). This was the first time that the kids have seen their great grandparents in the nursing home. I think we were all a little nervous but they were great.
Earlier this week I monogrammed Mr. and Mrs. Orr an Easter basket that said "The Orr's" and I filled it with candy. The kids enjoyed picking out their own Easter goody from the basket.

All of the kids hugged them by. It was so sweet. We were walking out to the car and Bennett said "Ma, Memaw is happy there." I am so blessed to have such a thoughtful family.

Anna Claire joined him.
Gary, Brent and Bennett went fishing Saturday afternoon. Anna Claire rode her bike while I pushed Sutton in his stroller around the neighborhood several times. Anna Claire stopped to pick some very pretty purple flowers (weeds, stinky weeds...) for me.
Anna Claire wanted to go ahead and dye her Easter eggs. Bennett was still fishing.
Anna Claire's Easter egg kit had sparkes and glitter to put on the egg.
After bath time Bennett dyed his Easter eggs. Instead of using the dipper that comes with the kit he decided to just use his fingers.
Sutton was not interested in the eggs at all, which is suprising because he normally wants to do whtatever Bennett is doing. He had his little men and that's all he wanted. He did insist on sitting at the table with everyone.
Sunday morning Grandad (Gary) hid Easter eggs for the kids. They have their own Easter baskets but their baskets were at their house in Norman. So, Ma (that's me) had to scramble to find 3 baskets. Bennett's blue one was used as an Easter decoration in the kitchen. Sutton's yellow one is one I recently bought to monogram as a summer decoration. Anna Claire's was her DADDY's that he made in 1988. Not only was she impressed but she was so pleased that she got to use it.
Bennett running all over the place trying to find the most eggs!
