Gary and I just returned from a few days camping on the White River. The weather was beautiful...wasn't too hot. Gary spent most of his time fishing.
The first night we cooked out with Paul and his brother, Hez. Paul has a house nearby.
We took the kayaks. Yesterday was a perfect day for kayaking. We went on a 3 hour 15 minute trip down the White River.
This is a perfect candelabra for camping. The wine in the bottle was gone by the time we left to go home.
While Gary fished I either worked (I'm teaching summer school online), knitted, or watched tv. Most of the time we were outside watching wildlife or just life on the river. We watched an Eagle fly overhead and circle around many times. The first morning we were there I observed about 50 canoes go by. There was a canoe race on the river. I saw one kayaker row against the current. He must have been doing that for a workout. I don't know why anyone would float against the current. Lots of fishing boats.
