Shopping Trip for Flowers

Anna Claire and I went to shop for flowers today. I thought it would be fun to let her pick out anything she wanted and then we would come home to plant flowers. She especially wanted "cookie" flowers as well as pink flowers and yellow flowers. If I tried to convince her to buy a different flower, she would said "No...I no like it."

Anna Claire tried to pick up every single flower petal or leaf she saw on the floor. We were in the Garden Center so you can imagine how many petals were on the floor.

Here we are standing in line to pay. She did not want me helping her with her wagon of flowers. However, she did not want dirt on her hands so Ma did have to help a little. Especially putting them in "Ma's truck." She sat in the back of the truck. I handed her each flower and she told me the color of the flower.

We left the store with a wagon full of flowers, toddler garden gloves, toddler spade, rake, shovel. We were totally prepared for garden fun!
Here we are...at Ma's house. About this time I am thinking of how much fun we are going to have planting flowers.

Well, so much for the flowers. As soon as we got to the backyard....no more flowers. All she wanted to do was "take a bath in Ma's pool." She splashed her face and said "I wash my face!" She dipped her face in the water once. You will never guess how cold the water was. I couldn't even dip my feet in the pool.

Sure hope she doesn't fall in backwards.
