Cutting the Yellow Ribbon

Shane came home exactly one month after arriving to the states. The first task was to cut the once yellow ribbon, now white ribbon, from the tree in the front yard. Now, my front yard looks so bare.

Shane finally gets to cut the ribbon! Every time he was ready to cut I would have someone else to get in the picture and I would tell him to wait.

Once the ribbon cutting was over, Anna Claire's job was to pull up all the little flags that were lining the street in front of the front yard.

This picture was not part of the ribbon cutting. I took this picture of Brent and Bennett yesterday. Both boys were just sitting on the couch.
