Brent and Jessica were in Tulsa for the last week at a conference. Brent was a speaker two times and Jessica led a workshop. The videos will come later but they are taking a long time to load.
Every night after Bennett's bath he fell asleep in Granddad's arms. Anna Claire would ask me to lay in bed with her and then after about five minutes she would say "You can go see Granddad now Ma." Last night she wanted me to lay with her. She pulled her pajama shirt sleeve above her elbow and asked me to rub her arm. I did for about 15 minutes. With her eyes closed she then rolled her pants up to above her knee and grabbed my hand and put it on her leg. She wanted me to rub her leg. That brought back memories with Brent and Shane. They used to do the same thing. One night she wanted Granddad to lay in bed with her and after about five minutes she said "Granddad, you can go watch football." You are so excited that she wants to cuddle but then she kicks you out of bed after just a few minutes.
Anna Claire finger painting. She told me my water wasn't any good. She said her water at home was better. I told her that for finger painting, water is water. She told me it wasn't.
Ma and Bennett. He is ALWAYS happy.
Anna Claire told me she had to work some. So, here she is working. She had me to move the keyboard directly in front of her. She would hit some keys, then hit the mouse.
Jessica's mom told me that when she had the kids Anna Claire never wanted to take a bath. It was just a struggle. So, the first night Anna Claire informed me that she doesn't take baths anymore. She also informed me as a matter of fact that she no longer takes naps! So, I told her that she didn't have to take a bath. Bennett would just take a bath and she can watch us play. She decided she wanted a bath after all. She also took a nap after I told her that her momma told me that she must take a nap each day at 2:00 p.m.
Every night after a bath was story time. One night she said "Ma, can we read one book." I said "Sure. How about two books?" She grinned and said "Okay." Then, I said "Well, how about three books?" She was so cute. She said "Ma! That's a LOT of books!"
I took the kids to Tulsa to meet Brent and Jessica. They were so happy to see them. Bennett couldn't quit smiling and Anna Claire couldn't quit hopping. Her best friend, Mason, was there. She's smiling for the camera now! When I was dressing her this morning I commented about all of her pretty clothes. She told me "Ma, I don't have any pretty clothes. Will you buy me some more?" You should see her closet. In this picture she has on a dress with matching leggings and boots. She is always so stylish!

In this video I was changing Bennett's diaper. All of a sudden he got excited and wanted to jump. So, I let him jump on my lap. He was screaming with laughter. I told Gary to hurry and take a video. Gary has never taken a video with my camera. By the time he figured it out, Bennett was no longer jumping. Gary didn't know when to quit filming so the video is too long.

This is so funny! I am fixing Bennett's baby food and he is getting so excited watching me get his food ready. There is a funny story about food and Bennett. Read below.
Bennett and Anna Claire always eat at the same time. Anna Claire has a little desk (her Daddy's when he was little) and it is sitting next to Bennett's eating chair. They always eat at 6:00 p.m. At 5:00 p.m. Anna Claire wanted to play with play dough so she was sitting at her desk. Gary was holding Bennett and all of a sudden Bennett went crazy, kicking his feet, yelling, flinging his arms. He was MAD! Gary asked me what was wrong. I didn't know but we saw Bennett arching his back as far as he could to watch Anna Claire. Then, we realized what was going on. He thought Anna Claire was eating so he thought it was supper time. I did go ahead and let him eat and then he was happy.

This was taken in Tulsa at the Marriott. Mason knew only one way to play and that was to tackle. Brent picks Anna Claire up as he is walking to a meeting and then Mason and Anna Claire run down the hall.

Now how could anyone not be "into" Anna Claire and Bennett. Those two are adorable. I love hearing your stories about them. I can relate so easily with Dean being 5 1/2.
