I'm a working girl again. After having almost a month off from work, it's back to reality! Today is my first day back to the office and I have completed the summer schedule for the faculty in my program, met with the bookstore textbook specialist to return some textbooks they ordered (they ordered the wrong ones and I need the books I turned in an order for), met with a new faculty member, met with one potential student and then met with another student on a program of study. It is now 11:00 a.m. I'm tired and ready to go home. I am most definitely NOT prepared for classes Monday. Why do I always wait until the week before classes begin to get ready for them???
I also had to schedule my picture to be taken. I will have an article out sometime in 2009 in a professional journal and they wanted an "office like" picture.
Oops, I don't think I want a picture of me in a leather jacket. So, off with the jacket.
Overall, it is a pretty rewarding day. I have tons of phone calls to return, emails to answer, and catching up with colleagues. This will be a busy semester, but that's just the way I like it. Only 73 more days until Spring Break but who's counting! :)
