Gone Fishing

We are taking Anna Claire fishing this weekend. I will not be fishing but I'll definitely be taking pictures. She is so excited. She was very disappointed today when I told her that we weren't going until the weekend. She is ready to leave tonight to go camping but she'll have to wait until Friday. Several times today she said "I so excited Ma. We goin campin." And then every time I asked her to do something for me her response was "After we go camping, Ma."

Bennett will go with us also but I don't think he'll be fishing. :)

Gary bought her a Barbie fishing pole so here's a picture of her learning how to reel it in. After Gary taught Anna Claire how to throw the line (not sure that's correct terminology) and then reel it back in, she taught me. Maybe I need to buy a Barbie doll fishing pole. After the lesson Anna Claire helped Gary work on getting all of his fishing supplies ready. The minute she actually catches a fish will probably be the end of fishing.

She is so intense in this picture. Click once over the picture to enlarge it and look at the expression on her face. She was wanting to learn how to use the pole so bad. Gary only had to show her twice. I couldn't believe how fast she learned.


Anna Claire just might be the first girl that goes fishing dressed in pink and wearing a purple tutu.
