EASTER 2009

We had such a great time with the family! Gary and I left after work on Friday to drive to Norman. Anna Claire stayed up so that she could see us. Since Bennett had just turned ONE and Anna Claire will be THREE on the 17th I brought two birthday cakes and we had a very special birthday party for both kids.

Saturday was spent at the park while Gary and Brent worked on putting together a new club house for the kids. Actually, they didn't even start until we got home from the park. Saturday night after supper we had the birthday parties! What fun! Bennett had blue icing up his nose and Anna Claire just ate icing. Her cake was a Tinkerbell cake. Bennett's had balloons on it.

Saturday night Anna Claire was on the floor in her nap mat next to the bed I was sleeping in. She was restless and we were having thunderstorms. I asked her if she wanted to sleep with me in the big bed. Before I could blink she was in the bed. Then, she rolled one sleeve up and asked me to rub her arm. Then, I had to rub the other arm. Then....she pulled up her pants and I had to rub her leg. This is weird. Brent used to do the same thing but his big body part for me to rub was his back.

Bennett is pointing at everything. He wants to show you his blankie, toy, anything. He grabs the remote to the tv and sticks out his hand toward the tv with the remote. He puts the cell phone to his ear. He still gets so excited when he sees Gary and me. He starts grinning and then his legs and feet get to moving.

Anna Claire and Jessica made muffins for breakfast Sunday morning. Some of Brent and Jessica's friends from India came over for breakfast and then we all went to church. I asked Anna Claire if she made the muffins and she said "Well, Mommy helped me." After church, out to eat, and then Gary and I left to come home. We are already missing them.

Can you tell Anna Claire is tired of having her picture taken?

I really must be careful what I say in front of her. I have a bad habit of saying "Oh My Gosh!" Now she is saying it! We are trying to teach her to say "Oh my goodness." Ma better learn to say that also!
