HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Anna Claire and Bennett, you better sit down and hold hands. This is a VERY SCARY video from Ma.

Was that scary? I sure thought it was. Every time I look at it I am scared.

I'll take that video off as soon as the grandkids see it. Stupid...I know.
UPDATE: Jessica said the kids watched it about 4 times and each time Bennett would say "More Ma...more Ma." I can just see him saying that after each time he watched it. They are so funny!

My most memorable Halloween memories:

When I was in junior high there was this girl who passed out chocolate Halloween candy (Gayle G.). My good friend, Stephanie C., had diarrhea all night. It was spiked with X-Lax.

I can remember going (i.e. running) from door to door getting candy. Then, my sister and I would go home and empty the loot. We had tons and tons of candy. Kids don't do that anymore.

Once, when Brent was about two years old, we had a football game and someone dressed as a clown. Brent was sitting in my lap at the game. The clown was going up and down the stands waving at everyone. He stopped to talk to Brent, assuming that this little boy would be amazed. Brent went hysterical on me. He was screaming, flinging his arms all over the place, kicking his feet. My child was petrified. Someone even took a picture of it and I still have the picture. That was a good lesson for me. When Shane came along I was very careful letting them be around older people in costumes, just in case the fear was there.

Anna Claire's first Halloween where she was walking to doors was so cute. She dressed in one of her genuine Indian outfits. The only house she went to was Erin's but I held her hand all the way to the door. She didn't understand the "Trick or Treat" at the door but she quickly figured out that Erin would let her pick out candy. Erin had a huge bowl of candy and Anna Claire thought she was supposed to pick up ALL the candy and put all of it in her jack-o-lantern. Then, we (Jessica, Anna Claire, Ma) go home and Momma (Jessica) puts up the candy!
