In the good ole days Gary and I would get a phone call that school was cancelled and we would crawl back in bed and sleep until 8 or so. Not this morning, dang it.
Rogers Public School cancelled yesterday. Bless them. Not the University. Okay...here's what they did! House phone rings at 5:00 a.m. (20 minutes ago!). Recorded message campus is closed. AGAIN, 5:02 house phone rings. Same recorded message. AGAIN, 5:10 cell phone rings, same recorded message. Oh, I'm not through. House phone just rang again at 5:20 a.m. same recorded message.
I didn't even have to go in today anyway. It's only the administrators and staff. Faculty don't report for another week.
Thanks U of A, this house is wide awake. You can go back to sleep. Four wake up calls is enough. Now what do I do with my morning? Paper's not even here.
