A Rainy Sunday

Sunday was such a dreary day. Rained all day. Cloudy.

Kaidence woke up and told me she was not wearing her clothes anymore. She said she was only going to wear mine. I'm not one to argue and I totally believe in discovery learning. So, fine. I told her to go to my closet and pick out some clothes to wear. She inspected every single article of clothing in my closet and picked out this Arkansas t-shirt. I happened to be wearing one very similar. She put it on and said "Look Bessie...just like you!" So, she wore it all morning.

The morning paper provided lots of "coupons" to cut along the dotted line. She is really mastering cutting along the dotted line.

We went to AQ Chicken in Springdale to pick up lunch for Gary's parents. After lunch I dropped Gary off at the house and Kaidence and I went to Chuckee Cheese. I think every three-year old in northwest Arkansas was at Chuckee Cheese. I'm not surprised, with the weather so dreary there really wasn't anything else to do on a Sunday afternoon.

On the way home we stopped for ice cream. I ordered a child's ice cream cone. This is NOT a child's size. The ice cream dropped off the cone after the first lick! (Yes, I just picked it up off the floor of the car and put it back on the cone! Is that bad?)

Betsy,
Kaidence is such a little cutie - and my gosh you are such a busy person - do you ever rest? I agree with the ice cream - too big to be a child's portion, and the five second rule is good for ice cream on the floor too. I love rainy Sundays - and usually do my best to just veg.
I think you must be one of the busiest, and one of the most giving people I know. Everyone who knows you is blessed, my friend.
