A Busy, Busy Saturday

Last night I just could not stay awake past 8:00 p.m. so Gary and Kaidence watched the Olympics. Even with all that sleep I still slept until a little after 7:00 a.m. this morning. But, from 7:00 a.m. on we have been super busy.

Gary, Kaidence and I went to the boat expo at the Convention Center. Kaidence wanted her picture taken beside every single boat (over 50) but I spared you...I am only posting just a few pictures from the boat show. Of course, there were a lot of things going on than just boats!




Then, we went to "Steak and Shake" (I think that's the name) for lunch. After lunch Kaidence and I dropped Gary off at the house and she and I went to the Promenade to shop for curtains for the guest bedroom. Bennett has a hard time sleeping in the guest bedroom because it is so light in the mornings. I wanted some new drapes to help darken the room.

We bought shoes that light up! Oh wait...it's not shoes....it's FLIP FLOPS. Every time I call the flip flops "shoes" she corrects me --- "Bessie!...these are not shoes....they are FLIP FLOPS (with an emphasis on flip flops)." You can't tell in this picture but as you walk, the sole of the shoes light up. We bought two pair..a pink and a purple. Kaidence was so proud of them. Even wore them out of the store!


This has taken us the entire day, I think. We missed nap time (for me!) and now it's time to think about dinner.
