Love Those Memories

Just a few stories from yesterday:

Bennett came up to me and said "Bother you...Ma...bother you." I asked "You want to bother Ma?" He said "Yes." I said "Well, okay." Then, he starts to tickle me and I scream "Don't, you are bothering Ma!" He squeals with laughter. It's not so funny when he does that to Anna Claire though.

When Anna Claire wants to do something that I don't want her to do she always says "My Mommy lets me." Well, when we were making brownies she had a big spoon with probably a cup of brownie mix on it. I stopped her from eating it but she said "My Mommy always lets me eat most of it." Well, she only weighs two pounds more than Bennett and she is two years older. I don't think Mommy lets her eat 3 cups of brownie mix.

Then, last night I was in the bathroom sitting on the tub step watching Bennett take a bath. He grabs a plastic cup, fills it with water, and throws it on me. Of course, he's squealing with laughter. I wasn't prepared for that and I screamed. Not a scary scream but a scream. Anna Claire runs in the bathroom to see what is going on. I said "Bennett just threw water on me." She said "I want to sit in the water too Ma." (I'm covered in water!) I said "Anna Claire, you'll be all wet." The area around the outside the tub was full of water. She replied "But Mommy always lets me sit in water." I said "Okay, sit in the water then." She sits down and then complains "I'm wet!"

Since our trip to Branson was nixed we have been struggling with fun things to do. Last night I asked the kids what they wanted to do today. Anna Claire said she wanted to go to the library and Bennett said he wanted to go to "Uck Eese." (ChuckE Cheese).

Gary had Bennett in his lap and told Bennett that we were going to go sledding. He talked about taking the truck out and going up a big hill and sledding. He talked about riding on the four-wheeler in the snow. Last night about five times before Bennett went to bed he would have Gary tell him the story again about the "big truck" and "big hill." When Bennett would say "big hill" he would throw his hands up high. If anyone knows where you can buy snow suits, snow boots, and a sled the last week of March, please tell me. Oh, and we need to buy all that on a Sunday morning.
