THE TEA PARTY

Tonight we had a very special tea party. While Bennett took a nap today Anna Claire made the brownies. She also painted a picture to put on the dining room table. Then, she painted a sign "No Boys Allowed." Although, we decided two boys could come, but NO MORE! There was only one rule, boy or girl, you had to wear a hat. You didn't have to wear a necklace because as Anna Claire said "Necklaces hurt my hair."

Anna Claire baking for the tea party while Ma washed the tea cups.

Bennett ate one too many brownies!

Bennett and Ma waving to Granddad. You can see the painting Anna Claire did. It's sitting on the table. You can also see a little bit of the sign "No Boys Allowed" taped to the end of the table. Can you see the snow out the window? All of our plans this week were changed due to that! It's everywhere we wanted to go!

All that tea (chocolate milk) does make you a little thirsty. Anna Claire wanted some water in a sippy cup but I told her we did not drink out of sippy cups at tea parties.

We didn't get to go to Branson today because of the weather. So, tomorrow it's a Spiderman party with a Spiderman cake, sledding (cross your fingers we can find some sleds), and then...who knows!

Now, this has nothing to do with today but it's really too funny. I have not let Bennett have his pacifier unless it is nap time or bed time. When he asks me for it I just say "Not now, it's not nap time." About every 30 minutes today he would come up to me and ask "Now...Ma?" I would say "Not now" and he would reply back "Okay Ma."

Well, after his bath he was occupied playing with Gary while I was playing with Anna Claire. I went into the den and there was Bennett with a pacifier in his mouth. Gary said he found it and there was nothing he could do. I looked at Bennett and he would not make eye contact with me. I made a comment to Gary like "Look at him..he won't even look at me." As soon as I said that Bennett changed positions in Gary's lap so that where I was standing I couldn't see his face. Then he laid his head on Gary's chest. It was too funny. It was also bed time so I didn't care.
