Summer Days with the Family

We were at the cabin in Oklahoma Saturday and Sunday. Gary and I brought Anna Claire and Bennett home with us on Sunday night. Brent and Jessica came Monday.

Monday morning after breakfast we were swimming. Tuesday morning also.

This afternoon we had a thunderstorm. Anna Claire told me we needed to pray to God. She asked me "Has God ever talked to you?" I didn't immediately respond so she then said "I've never heard God talk.....Ma, how do you know when God has talked to you?" And then, thank goodness, she said "Oh Ma, I know why we haven't heard God...he lives so far away we can't hear him."

Also, during the storm I suggested that we turn the tv to the Weather Channel. Anna Claire asked me why. I told her so that we could watch the weather and see what it was going to do. Boy, Ma sure isn't very bright. Anna Claire replied "Well...Ma....just walk to the window and look out." Now why didn't I think of that???

Bennett is fascinated with worms. It has been raining a lot so we have lots of worms. He'll scream with excitement "More worms...more worms."
