Couponing, Store Sales, and Consignment Sales - GOOD DAY

I can honestly say today was a very productive, financially speaking, day. I did not buy one thing I did not need and I saved quite a bit of money today.

I guess it all started with yesterday. Free coffee at Starbucks.

Then, I sorted all my coupons from Target and matched the Target coupons with my regular coupons. Target is one of the few places that will let you use their coupon plus the manufacturer coupon! Double coupons!

Here's what I bought:

Green beans for 65 cents a can (No coupon. Just a sale that ends today.)

Huggies diapers, 120 count, regular price $26.99. I had a Target coupon for $3 off and a regular coupon for $2 off. Paid $21.99

Clorox disinfecting wipes, Target price $2.49. I had a Target coupon for .75 and a manufacturer coupon for $1.00.  Paid .72

Paid McCormick seasoning. Target price $1.74. I had a coupon for $1 off. Paid .74.

Orbit 3 pack gum. Target price $2.69. I had a Target coupon for $1. Paid $1.69. (This is the kind of gum Gary and Bennett like)

Aluminum foil Target price $1.22. I had a coupon for .50. Paid .72 (I will go to Walgreens tomorrow to buy the same size aluminum foil for 69 cents. Sale starts tomorrow at Walgreens).

Nail polish, Revlon. Target price $4.99. I had a Target coupon for $1.00 and a manufacturer coupon for $3. Paid 99 cents.

Laundry detergent (64 loads). Target price $7.99. Coupon for $1.00. Paid $6.99.

Purex Complete with Zout laundry detergent (33 loads). Target price $4.99. Target coupon for $1 and manufacturer coupon for $1. Paid $2.99

Tomorrow I will go to Walgreens. Their sale doesn't start until tomorrow. Their Splenda packets and aluminum foil is half the price that Walmart sells theirs if you have the coupon.

Then, Gary and I headed to Old Navy. For today only they had their polo shirts for $6.00. Their regular price is $12.50.

Still not through. Today was the last day of the Rhea Lana Consignment Sale. Since today was the last day that meant it was half-price day. These are some of Bennett's clothes below. I did not pay more than $2 for any piece. The brands below are all Lands End, Children's Place, Baby Gap and Gymboree. The little striped jumper is Kelley's Kids, which I love. That and Bailey Boys. The zebra outfit at the far right with the navy blue checked shorts is "Blessed Be The Name" brand. I paid $1.50 for the outfit. I googled "Blessed Be the Name" and found a similar outfit on their web page for $50.00.

Anna Claire got brand new Gap skinny jeans (paid $3), Gap khakis, brand new ($2), and other cute things.

Baby Orr got a brand new pair of Children's Place patriotic shoes, size 3 - 6 months. I paid $3.00

I save my coupons and keep them filed. Then, when the expiration date is approaching I sort them to decide what I would buy anyway.

Now, back to waiting...waiting...and more waiting...on my third grandchild.
