Sutton is now a full five months old. He loves to hear his voice. He is beginning to reach out for things, such as Anna Claire's stuffed animals. A few times I thought he was reaching for me but I'm not sure he was. Wishful thinking.
Anna Claire had just gotten home from dance. Ms. Kim is her teacher and she loves dancing.
Sutton was enjoying the Elmo chair. It makes the "Elmo" sound and vibrates when you sit on it. Sutton is always happy. I watched him in the baby monitor one morning when he was waking up and in the dark of his bedroom I could still see him smiling. He is five months old. Beginning September 29th he will begin his sixth month. He wears a 6 - 12 months in clothes. I believe he is 14 pounds.
Gary (Granddad) holding Sutton on the front porch. It was a beautiful day.
Gary (Granddad) playing football with Anna Claire.
Anna Claire, five years old, size 5 clothes, needed some resting time. I got some very pretty pictures of her.

as Bennett dressed for Mother's Day Out.
Sutton is the happiest baby ever. He loves interaction with people.
This is my favorite thing to do. I love reading books. This was the first time I had read a book to Sutton. He would look at the pages and also touch them. He will be a book reader.
This was a different morning and Gary (Granddad) was reading. Sutton is naked because he had just had a blow out all over him and my shirt. I had not put clean clothes on him yet.
Jessica and Anna Claire and Sutton. It appears as though they are both trying to make funny faces for the camera.
Betsy (Ma) with Anna Claire and Sutton. Sutton sure looks different in this picture.
Gary (Granddad) was helping Bennett with baseball. Bennett kept telling him that you have to tap the bat 3 times before you can hit the ball.
Bennett found a penny. He couldn't decide what to do, Save, Give, or Spend.
Anna Claire is home schooled three days a week. She is working on an apple art project. It was pretty neat. You cut the apple horizontally and inside looks like a star fish. Then, you did the half in paint and use it as a stamp pad on a sheet of paper. Very cute!
Bennett has been needing (wanting) some hunting clothes. That was Gary's job. They went to Academy Sports but Academy Sports didn't have any in his size. So, they go to Walmart. He got some hunting clothes but they are too big. He's very, very proud of them, though.
Since Bennett got some new stuff Betsy (Ma) and Anna Claire went to Academy Sports. I was hoping Anna Claire wanted some new shoes or a new dance outfit. She told me she didn't need any but that she would love a toy. Academy really doesn't have a selection of girl toys. Anna Claire found some pink head phones and a University of Oklahoma cheerleader doll.
CUTE THINGS THE KIDS SAID:
During prayers Bennett told me he had an owie and would I please pray for it. I did. The second I said "Amen" he yelled "Ma, it worked. My owie doesn't hurt anymore!"
The same night Anna Claire decided she had an owie and she was in horrible pain. She put a kid's ice pack on it for the pain. She didn't but it was major to her.
For some reason the kids keep talking about my bones. I have no idea how this started or even why. We are in bed trying to go to sleep and Bennett said "Ma, you have new bones." Anna Claire, not to be outdone, said "Ma, you have BRAND new bones." Bennett responds "Ma, you have BABY bones." Where in the world did they come up with this?
A college student, Morgan, came over one night to work on a school project with the kids. She went to the back bedroom with Bennett and Anna Claire. As soon as they sat on the floor I heard Bennett tell her "I'm REAL SMART."
