Christmas with Shane and Jess

Since Shane and Jess were not able to come to Arkansas for Christmas Gary and I went to Lexington, Kentucky. The weather was beautiful and it was a very relaxing weekend.

Mellow Mushroom has the best chicken salad! After church on Sunday we ate there and while we were there everyone in the restaurant got these awesome mugs. Jess is holding one.
One afternoon we toured Woodford Reserve.
From the main building we left on a bus to go to the building to see where they make the stuff.
These are the barrells being processed the day we were there. You can see the date on the barrels. Pretty neat.
In the main building there was a family tree portrait. Well, Orr's have been in the whisky making business for a long time. Hum...

On Monday morning Gary and I left after Jess and Shane left for work/school. Because Shane and Jess weren't home for Christmas I had put their stockings aside after Christmas was over. I still needed to take their stockings to Kentucky. One afternoon while packing I kept looking at the "J" on Jess' stocking. Then...it hit me. That wasn't a "J." It was a "T." A cursive "T." After all these years, I never noticed that. She will have a new stocking next year.
