I got home last night from three long days in Little Rock. Dr. Linda Eilers and I attended a three-day training on the new Arkansas teacher evaluation system (TESS - Teacher Excellent Support System). Three faculty from each institution in Arkansas were selected to attend the training. After the training the same faculty must then provide the training to the faculty at their institution. This system will replace the Pathwise model that we have been using since 2007. It is based on the Charlotte Danielson book (so was Pathwise) but will be using a lot of Teachscape.
I like it. I really like it. The format allows for specific feedback to the teachers or interns.
