Actually, that is newsworthy. I can not remember the last time I bought a book that was not work related. I buy tons of work related books and I read every single one....everything from research methods to technology to leadership theories. But, I've been watching a lot of Oprah lately.
Beginning with the new year Oprah has focused on a new you. With each show I seem to think I have all the symptoms of whatever is being discussed. I thought I must surely have an overactive thyroid, then underactive, obese, not obese, going through menopause or perimenopause (I'm not..don't fall out of your chair!). You get it. I even signed up for several online virtual classes but have yet to attend a single one. Always out of town. But, last week Robin McGraw and Oprah were discussing bio-identical hormones. That really did interest me...thus, the book.
So far what I have found out in the book is the right kind of eyelash curler (Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler) and primer (Estee Lauder Lash Primer Plus) for your eyelashes to buy, how to keep your lipstick from bleeding (line lips first with Chanel Precision Lip Definer in Sienna). Now, aren't you glad you are reading this?
Seriously, I am going to start reading this beginning with page 1 tonight. I really do want to be healthier and happier for 2009. If I find out something earth shattering, I'll share. Most likely, I'll just sip my healthy green tea (left over from Shane's visit) and the occasional glass of wine (thanks Jamie) and enjoy reading something that is not required.
