OPENING DAY

This is the day I've been dreading. Normally when we have the pool opened I have the big pots around the pool out, flowers bought, weeds pulled. All of that. This year I haven't done a thing...yet. No flowers, no pots out. I haven't even gotten out any of the cushions and pillows for the chairs. This camping thing is interfering with my domestic duties at home. Quite possiblity all this blogging I've been doing today hasn't helped matters either. (Today is my first day of summer vacation so I'm entitled to do nothing today!)

Step 1, Cover still on

Step 2, Green water

Step 3, Vacuuming

Step 4, Getting there

Step 5, Looking better

The pool guys will come back Wednesday or Thursday to add chemicals. They told me NOT to touch anything until they come back. They want the filter to run for 48 hours and then they will come back to add the salt and other things.

Now my work begins. I'll have to remind Gary over and over that I have tendinitus in my biceps and a torn rotator cuff. I know he'll act like he doesn't remember when I ask him to get out all the big pots.
