Gary and I are spending Easter weekend with Shane and Jess in Lexington, Kentucky. We are so thankful and grateful that they invited us for the weekend. It is so good just being with them.
We left Friday morning about 7:45 a.m. and arrived in Lexington around 8:00 p.m. The next morning everyone, including me, studied the racing form and any information we could obtain from the Internet. Saturday was the opening day for horse racing at Keeneland. We went last year with Shane and Jess and I suppose we will make this a yearly event.
Shane and Jess in front of their apartment before we left for the races.
After watching a few races I left to go by some t-shirts for the grandkids. Can't forget them! Shane and Jess were successful on most of the races I think.
We stayed until the end of the ninth race and then left to go home.
After arriving at the apartment we had taco soup, watched tv, and called it a night.
Sunday morning we attended a wonderful service at Shane and Jess's church. Shane worked in the nursery checking children in and then out. When church was over I asked him if he lost any children. Thankfully, he didn't.
Jess cooked a wonderful meal and I hope she didn't spoil Gary. We had everything you could think of to eat. It was so good. Right now, everyone here is napping. It's a beautiful day here and I don't want to leave.

Betsy,
Catching up - you know how that goes. :-)
Anyway, Shane and Jess look wonderful - so happy and content.
It's so nice that you could spend Easter with them.
Keeping all of your family in my prayers - and you too, my friend.
Hugs,
Sue
