HOW MANY PICTURES DO YOU HAVE TO TAKE OF KIDS TO GET ONE GOOD PICTURE?
Fifty-nine, to be exact. First it was Sutton who would not cooperate. Then, when Sutton finally realized he wasn't escaping until I had a picture Bennett started acting silly. Of course, Anna Claire was patient and posed and smiled in ALL 59 pictures!
Come back here Sutton!
Anna Claire and Lucy in their pumpkin shirts.
Round 1 with Sutton.
Now, Bennett starts acting silly. Notice Anna Claire? She never changes her expression.
I'm seriously coming close to giving up about now.
Sutton decides it's time to play with Lucy.
I am begging like crazy for the boys to please look at me and smile.
PLAYING IN THE BACKYARD
Lucy has a closet full of clothes. Now it's time to put her tutu on her. Granddad comes to the rescue.
Batman! Sutton even hums the Batman song.
Bennett making face pancakes. Look at that adorable smile. He is up to nothing good!
Anna Claire making face pancakes.
Anna Claire put blueberries on hers for the nose and eyeballs. Bennett said he didn't like blueberries.
Jessica and the kids were here for an overnight visit. Bennett and Granddad went to Cabela's and Anna Claire and I stayed home and knitted. I'm very impressed with her knitting. Every time we are together she wants to knit and she gets better and better. We also made a potholder with her weaving loom.
Later Granddad and Bennett took Sid to Beaver Lake to train him. While they were gone Anna Claire and I played with her doll house and horses that are in the play room. She also told me that she loved the American Girl doll so we got on the computer and she went through pictures of all the dolls to find one that looks like her. She then decided she wanted to teach me something since I have taught her how to knit. We took the threads from the weaving loom and she designed some "bows" (use your imagination here) and taught me how to design bows.
Sutton had fun with everyone playing chase in the backyard. He loves to just run and run and have someone to chase him. When he gets tired of being chased then we would all just lay in the grass and tumble on top of each other. You can't treat Sutton like a baby. He's tougher than most three year olds.
Bennett has a lot of men and animals in the play room. They are not baby toys in the least. Sutton wants to play with those. I have a closet full of toys for 12 - 18 month olds but those are baby toys and Sutton will not even pick those up. Somehow he knows those are baby toys and he doesn't think he is a baby.
We enjoy the kids so much. I hope they enjoy just being with us.
