Nana's Birthday Party and Family Time at Ma and Granddads (Betsy and Gary Orr)

This was the week! My mother, Nana (Peggy Carey) turned 78 years young. It all started with my sister, Sancy, calling me and suggesting that we have a surprise birthday party at their place on the White River in Norfork, Arkansas. John and his family could come. Jerry Paul and Lisa Moore from Justin, Texas could come. We really didn't push it with Chris and Mandy, Shane, Josh and Katie, Matt, Brent and Jessica. It would be just too hard on the young ones in the family. Especially those with babies. Shane was flying back to Kentucky on Friday and Jess had been in Mexico all week on business.

Mother and Jack came to visit on Thursday. They came by on their way to Norfork. They wanted to see Shane and they thought they were going to Norfork to spend a quite weekend with Sancy and Johnny.

Anna Claire and Bennett had a blast planning Nana's birthday party. Anna Claire didn't want to go to Walmart with me to buy party supplies but Bennett did. They both made me a list. Here is Anna Claire's list. It says 1. Streamers 2. Balloons 3. Party Blowers 4. Ice Cream 5. Plates. Bennett made a list. All I saw on his was a picture of a cake!

Here is Bennett with his list. Our party shopping trip to Walmart was so funny. First, he just could not let go of the idea that Ma was not going to buy a Spiderman Pinata for Nana. I asked him what would we put in it? He replied "Cakes." Now I regret not getting one. He wanted one so dang bad. He also wanted an airplane cake instead of a cake with flowers. Why did I not just go with it. Mother (Nana) would have loved it!

Look toward the top left. Bennett drew a cake. He also drew candles in the middle of the paper and I think he tried to write cake.

This is his Daddy's shirt. I have no idea why his eyes are closed.

Pictures of Sutton Jack Orr, three months old.

Anna Claire and Nana. Notice the streamers in the background. That was on Anna Claire's list!
Papa Jack and Sutton Jack. Sutton Jack was named after Papa Jack.
Grandad getting some loving from Sutton Jack.
Shane and his Mom (Ma, Betsy).

Ma, with wet hair, and Sutton.
 Shane playing with Sutton.
A little high there Shane! Look at Sutton's hair. Oh my goodness. He sure is going bald.

Anna Claire and Bennett Orr. The party planners. Notice the Thomas the Train party hats. Bennett picked those out at Walmart.
Ma and Sutton again. He has been the best baby out of the three. He just smiles all the time.
Patrick Ogles, John and Jill's son and Nana and Papa Jack's grandson, also came with Nana and Papa Jack. I'm so glad. The kids love playing with him. Patrick Ogles is 14 years old and driving! He drove Nana and Papa Jack to our house.
A proud Papa Jack holding Sutton Jack.

We were trying out the self timer on the camera.

Jessica, my beautiful daughter in law, Brent, my caring and sweet son, and Sutton Jack, my third grandson who is one of the loves of my life! He will look at me and just smile.
Most of my children! Jessica, Brent, Sutton and Jack. I love them all so much!
 Jessica, Brent and Sutton Orr.
I just think each picture is worth showing!
There's Ma with Sutton, Jessica and Anna Claire Orr.
Ma had a little mishap. I was carrying the cake over to Anna Claire so that I could take a picture of the cake and her. It slid out of my hands when I reached the little school desk.
This is what it looks like now!

The kids are eating the icing from my hands!
Nana, Peggy Carey, and Sutton. Sutton is her great grandson.

Here is a picture of what Bennett bought. He picked everything out. A little dog cake for Anna Claire. A Razorback pig cake for him. Thomas the Train party hats. Barbie plates. We also had Dora napkins and Dora cups.

Patrick putting the Thomas the Train party hat on Nana.
Chris Courson, Nana's grandson, Nana and Patrick.

Patrick picked out a Dinosaur birthday card for Nana. Nana is reading it to him.

Chris Courson and Patrick Ogles, cousins, having a water gun fight.

The water fight continues but Bennett is tired. He is resting with Granddad.
We had a wonderful time. Nana still doesn't have a clue what will be happening at the river. I think Shane had a good week. He left the next morning. Gary and I are planning a visit to Kentucky in early October for his birthday.
