Gary and I start our day off with the most amazing breakfast. I usually have the omelette and vegetables. Yesterday the breakfast vegetable bar consisted of a bowl of lettuce, squash, pickles, carrots, and pumpkin. The hot breakfast bar had baked beans and chick peas. I wondered who ate that for breakfast but I saw some middle easterners with lettuce on their plate. This hotel has to cater to so many nationalities.
I must have my coffee for breakfast. The last two mornings I have asked for coffee and the waiter goes inside (Gary and I eat outside every morning) and brings me back a latte. I can see a coffee pot on a warmer but the waiter never pours out of that for me. Instead, I have to wait a minute or two for my coffee. This morning I called him over to my table and said "Coffee please" and then I pointed to the coffee pot that was full. He responded "Fresh pot for you madam" and he would not pour me coffee out of the full coffee pot.
Tomorrow morning I will ask for "black coffee" and see if he will let me have some out of the coffee pot. That's really all I want. I'm still trying to get used to waiters standing right next to you waiting on you to ask for something else.
This morning on the way to restaurant we ran into a man from Chicago. He is from India. He told us we needed to go south and get off the beaten path. I hope he didn't see my jaw drop. I thought we were off the beaten path!
